Scope is one of the premier showcases for International emerging contemporary art and multi-disciplinary creative programming. Scope is known for presenting the most innovative galleries, artists, and curators. From March 6th to March 10th, Scope came to town and brought life to the NYC Art scene. Yours truly had the wonderful opportunity to document the phenomenal works of art that Scope exhibits. Everywhere you looked, you were stunned by beautiful masterpieces, all effortfully put together by new and established dynamic artists.

Collaborating with media company Blk Dmnds, they've unleashed their brand new video "Can't Help Myself".Yours truly had the great opportunity to be a part of the video! It was an absolute pleasure working with Blk Dmnds and the fellas from Rich N' Fame, putting together this super sexy video!

An absolute highlight of my year being featured in an extraordinary piece of art, done by an incredibly gifted artist, for such an exceptional company... all the way across the country!

New York Auto Show 2012!

The super sexy Duramax 6.6l v8 turbo diesel engine and I.

Spring has arrived, and with it comes tons of exciting events. One of which is the New York Auto Show! It seemed like it was just yesterday that I found myself drooling over the beauties showcased at the Jacob Javits Center for the first time. After my first encounter with the event, a second one was a must! When I heard the 2012 NYAS was around the corner, I HAD TO attend! It seems as if the event gets bigger and better every year, this year truly surpassing the last! A $15 ticket will get you into the world of automotive ingenuity, at its finest!

Within the last two years, I have become quite the auto-world enthusiast. From vintage beauties to striking exotics, every model&make makes my heart swoon! You don't have to be an auto junkie to find the NYAS amazing, everyone of all ages and interests will find this showcase to be a must see!

 Recruiting help for the biggest nail art project yet! 

Fellow nail art enthusiast and California girl, Brass is putting together NAILgasm: A Documentary on the global obsession of NAIL ART! A project that will document the wonderful and obsessive world of nail art on a GLOBAL scale. A super unique idea that polish lovers can definitely appreciate! In order to make this mani dream come true, a total of $7,200 needs to be raised by March 20th. So far, a total of $5,054 has been raised! That's awesome progress!! But with only 3 days left til the deadline, the project needs all the help it can get! This is where mani lovers come in! If we unite, spread the word, and support the project with $1 or more, we can totally make this happen! Apart from becoming a part of a revolutionary nail art movement, you can also get perks from your donation such as NAILgasm stickers, pins, and of course credit in the actual documentary! 

I don't know Brass personally, as a matter of fact I live in NYC and she lives in LA! But her motivation and love for nail art is what has driven me and other mani lovers to help out and join the movement! I truly hope you can too! T.Shirt Releases "Coming Up" Video!

Queens rapper T.Shirt blessed the masses this week with the release of his new video "Coming Up" off his album "The F*ck".  Directed by Ronin of HotMopFilms , "Coming Up" is an ensemble of T.Shirt's effortlessly sick flow, incredible background art (by URNY), sexy ladies, and a heavy dose of New York City demeanors. The track itself is addictive, leaving you wanting more. And the contagiously fun video just adds to the addiction! Yours truly got to join the fun shooting the video, and definitely had a blast doing so! Museum of the Moving Image!

I can be quite the museum junkie, so when I go a long time without visiting one, I get the museum itch! The museum itch must be controlled. I recently managed to soothe the itch by visiting The Museum of the Moving Image! Located in my home borough of Queens, it surprises me that I hadn't gone before. And yet, I'm glad I waited this long, being that the museum underwent a recent expansion. This place is an absolute Utopia for pop culture, television, and movie enthusiasts! I absolutely recommend it, you'll feel like a kid in a candy store! But the museum doesn't limit itself to just the big screen, inside you'll find everything from vintage video games, to an Egyptian movie theatre!

If names like Star Wars, Nintendo, Muppets, Carrie Bradshaw, and Charlie Chaplin make your heart run wild, then this is the place for you! There's something for everyone at the Museum of the Moving image!

Fall for Your Hearing Damage by The R.O.A.R

Check out my good friend Steve's aka The R.O.A.R 's amazing video for his sMASH UP song "Fall For Your Hearing Damage".  A Drake and Thom Yorke fusion, brilliantly put together by The R.O.A.R!


The video is a beautiful composition featuring The R.O.A.R and actress/singer Sura Contin aka Love. Telling the story of a young couple sharing a sweet and nostalgic sunny day on the boardwalk. Throughout the video you get a feel of amorous affection with a sense of afflicted love. Sura Contin's sensuality is overwhelming in intimate bed and shower scenes. As The R.O.A.R brings his acoustic guitar to life and vocalizes the sense of inevitable warm relation.


Directed by Hassan Kinley, co-owner of Karin and Raoul Magazine.
Produced/edited by Darnell White of Who We Are Studios.

All of the music and vocals are re-performed and recorded by The R.O.A.R and will be out on his EP "All I have is my record collection and Broken Heart". Apart from The R.O.A.R, Steve is part-takes in the amazing electro-rock band The Fire and The Reason. Steve is an absolute genius at embracing his passion and continuos to blow me away with his talent! So thankful to have a such a gifted friend!

S.S.S Beach Bummin It!

Ahhhhh summahtime!!! The ultimate BEST annual gift mother nature blesses NYC with! With the sunshine beaming and the ocean waves crashing, I was anticipating a 2011 beach bikini shoot. And who else to shoot it but my AWESOME photographer friend Merisi aka Mirror51. I don't have many favorite photographers nor actual photographer FRIENDS, but Mirror 51 is all of the above and more! Charming, hilarious, caring, superb with lighting and a great eye for capturing a models best looks. I also love how particular he is about the models he chooses to shoot. It's very important for photographers to be picky with the females they put in front of their lenses!! I love Merisi's work so much, I put his work on my blog's header AND on my business card :) Check out Mirror51 here.

We shot at a gorgeous secluded beach location. Merisi worked it with phenomenal lighting and yours truly worked the camera. I also had the pleasure of shooting with my new photographer friend Oliver! He was also on location and shot me on the rocks along the shore. I was very impressed by Olivers superb gift at snapping some stunning shots. He was so sweet and chillaxed, and an awesome oil boy! We were having such a great time snapping away, Merisi decided we should shoot a video. I SUCK at video lol but thanks to Merisi and Oliver's great coaching, I think I did pretty well! Make sure to check out the video at the end of the post and let me know how I did!

Mani Monday!

The legendary Lucille Ball turned 100 this week. 

I grew up watching her hit series "I Love Lucy" and to this day honor 

the phenomenal actress for her talent, courage, and charisma.

I dedicated this weeks Mani Monday to one of the most revolutionary women in history :)

I also included a VIDEO TUTORIAL this week! Fulfilling requests, I finally managed to put together a little how-to nail design. My last one was the water marbling tutorial, which to this day gets great feedback. So I hope you ladies enjoy this one just as well!!
