DOPEOVERDOSE.COM is a Street Life blog embracing the urban culture and style uprise throughout NYC and abroad. DOPE OD brings you the latest Street Wear fashions, music, technology and even beautiful ladies! Supporting both SSS and Street Wear line RIOTS & ROSES, DOPE OD got to know me in a recent interview. Troy Paraiso, D.O.D's editor in chief asked about my views on Valentine's Day, travel musts, and what's "So Sexy" about SSS!  

Troy Paraiso: Though you don't do much fashion modeling, you do support dope Streetwear brands like, Riots & Roses. What is it about Streetwear that attracts you?

SSS': Theres a lot of character behind Streetwear. Streetwear always has a story to tell along with a bond to the average joe, which happens to dress fresh to death. I love the passion most Streetwear designers pour into their work, while still honoring simplicity. Sometimes, you can even see the beautiful struggle behind a Streetwear brand. Starting from the bottom, and climbing to the top. A journey most of us can relate to.

Troy Paraiso: Tell me, what is it that makes Stephania Arenas, so sexy? Is it your smile, is it your eyes, or is it your seducing manner in your photos?

SSS': All of the above, lol! To be honest, Stephania Arenas isn't the sexy one, it's Stephie that's the one being SoSexy. StephieSoSexy loves to embrace her sexiest feature of all, her confidence. Confidence is the ultimate ingredient in sex appeal. SSS' also believes that self love is what truly brings all the boys to the yard, ;). There's no other belief that SSS' pushes harder.

Hey loves!

Your girl SSS has made an appearance in this month's issue of Straight Stuntin Magazine! HOT97 's DJ JUANYTO gave me an interview for the issue, touching upon what it is to be a Latina in NYC, an influencer, and the inspirations behind SSS Blog.

DJ: What made you get into blogging?

Writing in general has always played a big role throughout my life. I’d always keep various journals growing up, then once the internet took over my journals went from pen and paper to keyboard and screen. That’s when my blogging began. I first began blogging on a personal level, sort of like venting to cyberspace. Growing up, I kept my privacy to myself and began blogging about more general things in my life. Once I noticed my blogs effortlessly gather a large following, is when I took my blogging to another level... I began inspirational blogging. And here I am.

DJ: What influenced you into modeling?

Bills Bills Bills lol I began modeling when I started living on my own and paying rent, around age 20. Finances were tight. A friend of mine made extra cash by modeling and suggested I give it a shot. Once into it, my modeling was fluently successful. A year in, I was getting contacted by various publications and companies for work. All without an agent. I then took my modeling more serious when I saw it as a way to lure people into checking out my blog. Worked very well, actually.

DJ: Who would u like to work with in the near future? 

I would like to work with organizations that positively inspire upcoming female generations. Helping build confidence and self love into growing young ladies.

I had the wonderful opportunity to model  the Ali & Kris Spring 2013 collection. Modeling their super cute and comfy styles was an absolute delight! We hit the streets of NYC and told the story of two young confident friends enjoying their day throughout the city. From the Meatpacking District to Washington Square Park, the A&K team left no stone unturned!

XXLmag.com: How did you get into blogging?

Stephanie Arenas: I started blogging maybe when I was like 14, 15. I would have a little journal online but it was personal. Ever since I was younger, I really loved writing and documenting. So, I would have my little blog when I was younger and then that was my favorite past time. So as of late, I started doing it on a more grown-up scale. I go out to different exhibitions, events, museums etc and I cover them to try to get people to go and do something different and out of the usual. It gets a lot of great feedback, which is such a motivator for me to keep it moving. I do it for my own fun, my own hobby, and the fact that I get a lot of good feedback out of it, that’s even better.

Play Cloths Summer Lookbook Feat. SSS!

Stopped by to support the great people at Play Cloths the other day, just as they were working on their Summer 2012 LookBook. After catching up a bit, one thing led to another and yours truly ended up being a part of the LookBook fun!

Playing around with Play Cloths, I was having way too much fun prancing around in their latest collection, The Frown Capsule.  Apart from sporting PC snapbacks and men's shorts, I also got to play with the newest assortment of Play Cloths Socks, featured in 6 different colors!

SSS Models for illAmeri.ca Lookbook!

Founded in 2007, illroots.com began with the simple goal of being a hip-hop message board. Little did the illroots team know, illroots.com would soon become one of the most credible blog sites in the industry. Honoring rap music, culture, and everything hip-hop, the site has gained millions of views and loyal followers through its solid, knowledgeable, and consistent content. Earlier this year, illroots released their spanking new line illamerica. I had been drooling over their fashions for a while, so becoming a part of the team was a pleasure! The ladies at KCNY are an absolute delight and so fun to work with. They are fantastic at styling all different kinds of looks, all so feminine, flirty, and fun!

SSS x Stefon Miller

My last shoot of 2011, was my SoulStarUniverse shoot with photographer Stefon Miller. Stefon and I were having such a great shoot, we decided to have some fun and heat things up with some sultry bed scenes.It's been a while since I've done bed scenes, but with Stefon's superb captures an enticing black and white aura, I feel we did a great job!

SSS x SoulStarUniverse

SoulStarUniverse is an NYC based brand embracing simple yet visually appeasing designs. Inspired by comfortable casual looks, SoulStarUniverse's designs strives in giving the society of well-dressed people relaxed and mellow demeanor when sporting their gear. SoulStarUniverse takes pride in the exclusivity of their products, producing only a very limited amount of each style. The brand began in 2004 and has been revamped ever since. Showcased in over 30 boutiques worldwide, SoulStarUniverse has made boutiques such as Vinnies Styles and Invazion their home. From NYC to MIA to LA, SoulStarUniverse is recognized in the nations top cities. Future goals for the brand consist of maintaining the brands exclusivity, along with unleashing their very own boutique. SoulStarUniverse is now working on incorporating denim and various accessories into their collections.

I was absolutely thrilled when my good friend Stefon, photographer for the brand, asked me to model accessories from SoulStarUniverse. Although I have experience in modeling hats, i haven't done so in quite some time! So I can't deny I was a bit rough around the edges. But with the partnership between Stefon and I, I think we did a superb job! With a cozy casual character, and a touch of sex appeal, the collaboration between SSS x SoulStarUniverse came to life! Stefon was also kind enough to shoot some sultry black and white bed scenes with me, but those will be showcased on another post! In the meantime, check out SSS x SoulStarUniverse!

Its that time of the year where we all throw on our Santa caps and make sure we are on our best behavior! The time of the year where we become gift wrapping connoisseurs, xmas decor aficionados, and hot cocoa scavengers. What a cozy time of the year it is <3

And as for yours truly, I've been an awful good girl this year... as well as every other year! 

Although my halo shines hella bright, I can't deny my naughty side... trust me, every girl has one! Here's a look at MY naughty side... XXX-mas style! But I'm not the only one on the bad list... Santa's on there too... and he's run away with his mistress...

ZILLADIDIT x SSS

Eccentric, bold, and superlative. I'm speaking about none other than the graphic artist, ZILLADIDIT. Scanning through his work, you inevitably enter the mind of ZILLA. A world of chromatic brilliance intertwined through curious characters and abstract compositions. Mesmerized through his use of trippy hues, you become inevitably curious of the mind behind each vivid piece. That right there is a true artistic impact.

With that said, I am beyond flattered to present to you a ZILLADIDIT x SSS fusion!

Makeup Embracing Your Natural Beauty!

Hey lovelies! It's your girl SSS checking in <3 

Now, you guys know how much I LOVE and support all things natural. Natural hair, natural nails, natural everything <3 But that does not mean I stay away from what can be considered one of girls best friends... MAKEUP!! Yup, theres no denying that us girls love makeup. We love to get dolled up, try new looks, and explore all kinds of products and shades! It's in our DNA!

Being a beauty model, most of my photoshoots consists of modeling with makeup. I always look forward to working with skilled makeup artists, anticipating what look I'll have on next! But what I love the most, is working with makeup that lets your own natural beauty shine through, rather than covering it with extravagance. Makeup that embraces your own unique beauty composed of your own unique complexion, bone structure, and facial features. I feel a makeup artist that can accent your natural looks rather than drastically changing them, is a talented artist.

For the past few days I have been booked by Make Up For Ever as a demonstration model. I've worked with them a few times before, starting with their 2008 HD foundation campaign showcased in Sephora. I LOVE Make Up For Ever! A fantastic makeup company and one of the top ones if you ask me! Most makeup artists agree.  And the Make Up For Ever team in NY is just fantastic to work with! Incredibly skilled makeup geniuses! 

I have been modeling nude makeup for Makeup Up For Ever... and have been hella jubilant with every look they're painted on me. Being that every application has embraced ones natural beauty rather than hiding it behind over-the-top looks. Utilizing peachy, nude shades and contour techniques that flaunt what you were born with, rather than altering your features with dramatic colorful illusions. Those are fun to do too, but I just love natural looks. So I ran home one day with my amazing makeup still on and took a few pics to share with you guys! Showing you what to me is lovely natural beauty makeup.

Embracing naturally, I let my natural curly hair go crazy in these pics too =p So bear with me lol

SSS shows some Audi love!

Now if you know me, you know I'm a Beemer girl. But in my last shoot, I had to show some Audi love!! Collaborating with DBC Photography and GIS INC, I had one of my very few car shoots, this one located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. And my fellow muse was a gorgeous Audi A4 1.8T in glossy silver with a carbon fiber hood and all black leather interior. RRRAAAWWRR..!!! I shot with the classic bikini car model look, and played around with sultry all black everything attire.

S.S.S Models for the NYTimes!

I had the pleasure of collaborating with photographer Phillipe Regard for the New York Times a couple this month. I modeled some extravagant, yet extraordinary shoes for the fall season! Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, Alexander Wang, and  Casadei were just a few of the bad boys I pranced around in. These gorgeous boots and heels were absolutely to die for!!! I refused to take them off after the shoot was over lol!


The photoshoot and article was showcased in the NYTimes Thursday Styles section and NYtimes.com this last Thursday 8/26. A beautifully written review by Susan Joy, letting us females know that we shouldn't be scared of "fuzzy, furry, fringed and whiskered footwear". Yours truly showed off her stems and featured the beautiful fall designs.  The very experienced Phillipe Regard was an absolute thrill to work with and gave me tons of pointers. I made sure to moisturize extra well throughout the shoot!!!!

S.S.S Beach Bummin It!

Ahhhhh summahtime!!! The ultimate BEST annual gift mother nature blesses NYC with! With the sunshine beaming and the ocean waves crashing, I was anticipating a 2011 beach bikini shoot. And who else to shoot it but my AWESOME photographer friend Merisi aka Mirror51. I don't have many favorite photographers nor actual photographer FRIENDS, but Mirror 51 is all of the above and more! Charming, hilarious, caring, superb with lighting and a great eye for capturing a models best looks. I also love how particular he is about the models he chooses to shoot. It's very important for photographers to be picky with the females they put in front of their lenses!! I love Merisi's work so much, I put his work on my blog's header AND on my business card :) Check out Mirror51 here.

We shot at a gorgeous secluded beach location. Merisi worked it with phenomenal lighting and yours truly worked the camera. I also had the pleasure of shooting with my new photographer friend Oliver! He was also on location and shot me on the rocks along the shore. I was very impressed by Olivers superb gift at snapping some stunning shots. He was so sweet and chillaxed, and an awesome oil boy! We were having such a great time snapping away, Merisi decided we should shoot a video. I SUCK at video lol but thanks to Merisi and Oliver's great coaching, I think I did pretty well! Make sure to check out the video at the end of the post and let me know how I did!

mirror 51 is a brooklyn based photographer... and one of my super duper DUPER faves <3 i've shot with m51 about three times and always come home ever-so-happy with his awesome captures. very experienced, flexible, SUPER chill,  and a great eye.  his shots are all about the model and he is quite a  lighting genius. nowadays i prefer doing paid shoots over anything else, but i do have my personal favorite photogs whom i'll shoot tf* anytime simply because they leave me breathless! m51 is one of these photographer gems <3 he benefits the hell outta my portfolio, when working with him. we always make an awesome team <3 he's superb in or outdoors but his beach shots will DEF leave you impressed... too cold for the beach right now tho :'(

i have this long sleeve american apparel bodysuit that i have been dying to shoot in. but i had this certain look in my brain that not just any photog can nail. i knew m51 would bring my vision to life <3 this shoot has been sneaked peaked on my facebook and tumblr. it has gotten such ridiculously positive feedback. alot of this great feedback, leading people to my blog <3 awesomeness....!!! 

my first look (bodysuit) was very 90's inspired, without going overboard. i wanted to keep it natural yet eye catching. bodysuit themselves are very 90's plus i added the burly mane of curls, adding to the look. i also expirimented with my vintage leather jacket... def taking it back to a "saved by the bell" type feel.

playing around with naturally tousled hair, flirty attire,  and crimson puckered lips, i was going for an "all about me" kinda shoot. blunt, bright, and to the point. no fancy shamncyness, no great outdoors, no extravagancy, no distractions.  just the s.s.s and all her splendor...
