Adidas Unite All Originals Nail Art Event!

Adidas Originals made all nail art lovers very happy this past weekend with their 3-day pop up nail salon in honor of their Teyana Taylor GLC sneaker collaboration. Adidas' Unite All Originals provided complimentary manicures, featuring six vibrant designs, each matching a GLC sneaker. From wild cheetah prints, to rock-star studs, the manis had all nail art lovers raving! Various nail artists took part of the event, and showed off their flawless mani skills.  Christina Rinaldi head of PrimaCreative, handpicked each artist, putting together a team of kick-ass nail art ladies. Adidas also held a fun nighttime event in celebration of the shop. DJ sets by Chromeo and The Misshapes had everyone rocking out after their fresh manis.

If you've followed my blog long enough, you'll know about my love for nail art. So of course I had to attend this superb event! Check out my mani fun at Adidas Unite All Originals event!

MAC Archie's Girls Review!

Hello lovely readers!

As I mentioned before, MAC Cosmetics released their Archie's Girls line last month, making my happy Archie-loving heart sing with joy! The collection went fast, with many of the products selling out within hours of the online release! I managed to grab myself a few of the goodies from the line.

The Archie's Girls collection pays homage to the lovely ladies Betty and Veronica from the classic Archie Comics series. Two very diffrent personalities, each character had their own range line of lipsticks, blushes, nail polishes, powders, and more. Betty is your bubbly and friendly girl next door, with her collection rconsisting of bubble gum pinks, peach, and humble corals. While Veronica is the more daring and sexier one of the two, with her collection made up of vampy reds, deep violets, and bold berries.

Both ladies are lovely, but having grown up on Archie Comics, I grew a never-ending love for Veronica. I felt I could relate to the racy brunnette alot more. And when MAC released the Veronica collection, I was so please with the results! When picking out my cosmetics, I found myself buying almost the whole Veronica line! While the Betty collection was just as amazing, I see alot of myself in the bold and beautiful Veronica!

MAC Presents "Archie's Girls"

If you've followed my blog long enough, or if you know me at all, you'll know about my obsession with Archie Comics. I nearly fell out of my seat when MAC Cosmetics announced their upcoming collaboration with Archie's Comics, releasing in 2013, a few months back.

Well, the day has arrived and the collection will be unleashed tomorrow January 30th, online! I am beyond excited for this collection! Having grown up reading Archie comics cover to cover, I've collected Archies throughout the years and have piled up quite a lot of Archie goodies! This collection will be a great addition to my Archie madness, although my wallet will have to forgive me!

My New Hair Doo! Ombre!

Hey loves!!!
I was feeling inspired one day and decided to give myself a brand new look!
I had been sporting my natural black hair for 3 years and hadn't dyed a single strand the entire time.
But the daredevil in me took over one day and VOILA!

Ombre hair had been peeking my interest for some time now. It's truly a gorgeous summertime look! I am an absolute DIY girl... I do all of my own grooming. From manicures to haircuts to treatments,  I am my own beauty salon. I took a leap of faith and decided to do my own ombre hair. Did my research, bought my tools and 3 hours later a brand new Stephie was born!

I absolutely LOVE my new hair! It's tons of fun!
Took a little bit of getting used to but now I am in love!
So fun to style and so vibrant!

What do you guys think of SSS new look???

Makeup Embracing Your Natural Beauty!

Hey lovelies! It's your girl SSS checking in <3

Now, you guys know how much I LOVE and support all things natural. Natural hair, natural nails, natural everything <3 But that does not mean I stay away from what can be considered one of girls best friends... MAKEUP!! Yup, theres no denying that us girls love makeup. We love to get dolled up, try new looks, and explore all kinds of products and shades! It's in our DNA!

Being a beauty model, most of my photoshoots consists of modeling with makeup. I always look forward to working with skilled makeup artists, anticipating what look I'll have on next! But what I love the most, is working with makeup that lets your own natural beauty shine through, rather than covering it with extravagance. Makeup that embraces your own unique beauty composed of your own unique complexion, bone structure, and facial features. I feel a makeup artist that can accent your natural looks rather than drastically changing them, is a talented artist.

For the past few days I have been booked by Make Up For Ever as a demonstration model. I've worked with them a few times before, starting with their 2008 HD foundation campaign showcased in Sephora. I LOVE Make Up For Ever! A fantastic makeup company and one of the top ones if you ask me! Most makeup artists agree.  And the Make Up For Ever team in NY is just fantastic to work with! Incredibly skilled makeup geniuses!

I have been modeling nude makeup for Makeup Up For Ever... and have been hella jubilant with every look they're painted on me. Being that every application has embraced ones natural beauty rather than hiding it behind over-the-top looks. Utilizing peachy, nude shades and contour techniques that flaunt what you were born with, rather than altering your features with dramatic colorful illusions. Those are fun to do too, but I just love natural looks. So I ran home one day with my amazing makeup still on and took a few pics to share with you guys! Showing you what to me is lovely natural beauty makeup.

Embracing naturally, I let my natural curly hair go crazy in these pics too =p So bear with me lol

weight a minute, anon...! ;)

via my formspring...

hey hey :) i love to give advice on this typa stuff lol <3

i am 5 feet (on a good day) and i weigh about 100lbs. not my ideal weight but i'm getting there... the best advice i give anyone on loosing or maintaining a certain weight is to eat right. very general statement but very true. DO NOT over eat. ever. it takes your brain 20 minutes to realize you are FULL. so when you eat eat and eat, you may have already filled yourself up but you don't realize it till all of a sudden you feel you're going to explode. at this point you've overeaten and have consumed way too much. overeating is noooo bueno.

keeping your metabolism BUSY and moving.
and stay drinking ALOT OF WATER.
these are the keys.

instead of having 2 or 3 big meals in your day, have about 5 small meals, all composed of good food. avoid sugary and/or greasy foods. start substituting. and READ THE LABELS.

im not saying slave over nutrition facts, but KNOW your nutrition facts. don't just grab the first drink labeled "sugar free"... cuz that same drink could be LOADED with sodium which is just as bad if not worse.   i must admit, i previously found myself guilty of counting calories. but that just got me into the habit of reading the label and becoming familiar with what i am actually consuming.

substituting helps ALOT. the main and most affective thing to substitute is your drink. many people don't realize that one of the main reasons for being overweight is your drink. for some reason, people feel liquids aren't fattening. fucking hilarious. sub your sodas, iced teas, and juices with WATER. i cannot stress this enough..!!!! i know water may be hella bland, and  you may have a hard time drinking JUST plain old water, no problem. have your soda... just make sure you have a glass of water on the side. have some water before and after your meal. then start carrying a bottle of water around. little by little, your relationship with water will flourish wonderfully. that's how i did it. little by little. now, i CANNOT go a single day without water. it's pretty insane. i literally have water on me at all times. i naturally consume over a liter a day. and (effortfully) can do 2 liters a day.

i've actully gotten to the point where juices, sodas, and iced teas fill me up easily. i cannot even finish a bottle of snapple. BUT i can devour a liter of water no problem. this is a good thing lol...

apart from your drink, you can start subbing your food. very simple and you don't have to become a vegetable enthusiast. there are many easy substitutions.... like grilled is better than fried and wheat is better than white. if potato chips are your midday snack, sub it for a bag of pretzels. will last you and fill you up for longer. sub rice for corn or wheat bread, or a salad.

don't feel obligated to eat the entire meal on your plate. many times, we eat with our eyes. take your time with your meals and snacks, never rush them. save some for later. saves you $$$ too.

i am just touching upon daily diets. the tough part. cuz anyone can jump on a treadmill but not anyone can have mind over matter when it comes to food...

i have many little tips i live by. they may seem small, but when put into a day to day basis, they have big affects. if you'd like to know more let me know!! i have TONSS more where this came from..!! and i'd be more than happy to fill you in! <3

what vitamins do you take other than biotin?

your hair skin and nails are, in an analogous way, your overall health's resume.
they ultimately reflect the overall condition of your body.
If your body is healthy and well nourished,
your cells will be goddess like.

i used to take a GNC women's multi vitamin. then after studying the label and ingredients it contained, how much potency it had of each vitamin,  i started doing some research.
trying to find out what vitamins will target what i wish to improve.

embracing your beautifully organic self.

oh man.
::bows head in shame::
i have been on a HIATUS, haven't i?
sigh. i'm sorry.
life just gets the best of you sometimes.
and so does miami.

i took a trip to my hometown in the gorgeous sunshine state. miami owns my heart and mind. i always achieve such pure mental clarity when in miami. drowning in this grey city of new york, miami is my gasp of fresh air at the surface of this endless ocean...  but now i'm back by popular demand ;p and my love for my blog.

during my getaway, i got the chance to bond with my beautiful girlfriends over drinks, laughs, and girl talk. i don't hang out with too many ladies in nyc so this was definitely a great opportunity. most of our girl talk brought to light many aspects of being a female. in between topics such as fellas and fundamentals, we'd always touch base upon beauty. being girls of course, we had alot of input concerning beauty. i was delighted to see how important natural beauty was to each of us.

to me, one of the most beautiful wonders in life, are females.
no homo.

i feel every single woman, big and small, short and tall, light and dark, is naturally beautiful. NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL. i stress emphasis on the blessing of natural beauty.  i don't see the need for dissimilation when the reality itself is flawless. why fix what's not broken? us women spend countless hours, dollars, and efforts trying to  fix the unbroken.  adding removing lengthening shortening siliconing coloring, our judgements are deceived.

everything that "enhances" your image, you can have naturally. everything except for bigger breasts/assets. but every woman is different, so why not embrace our naturally distinguished beauty? when coming upon the fork in the road between fake and natural, i understand the fake path is a smooth ride. the natural path is quite tedious. but let's keep it real ladies, cheap&fast or prosperous&worthy?

i am a naturally tanned, brown eyed brunette. years ago i was an unnaturally tanned, grey eyed blonde. epiphanies come in many shapes and sizes, specially when least expected. well, i have had quite a few of these bad boys. i now embrace my organic self.

you'd be surprised what dedication, patience and nature itself can do for your image...  i love au natural.  i try my best to embrace my organic self with a few weapons of mass construction:

fake hair fake nails #weOFFthat!!!

day 2 of liquidation.
i've had noodle soup for breakfast & dinner. and alot of  water.
my noodle consumption must be cut down and completely end by friday.

i love natural beauty.
i wear prescription contact lenses because i can't see shit. i've been wearing them since i was 10 years old. i started off wearing color contacts (grey). and i JUST started wearing clear two months ago. and i absolutely love it. for 12 years i wore grey and was so infatuated with my "grey eyes". but now i am even MORE in love with my natural brown eyes. i guess its a growing up thing.

no disrespect to all the foxy ladies out there but anything fake you put on you can have naturally for free, more aesthetically pleasing, and less disappointing. except for big tits. but then again i'd rather have my small tits than big old anime cartoon tits that you have to change every 2 years.
