Disney Delirium: Magic Kingdom!

Cinderella's Castle

Continuing on my Disney Delirium, the Disney Monorail comes to a final stop at

Disney's Magic Kingdom!!!

*For high quality images, click on the pics :)

By far, Magic Kingdom is my absolute favorite park out of all 4 gorgeous Disney parks.

Made up of 7 different towns : Main Street U.S.A.,  Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Storybook Circus, and Tomorrowland. All pretty much spectacular in their own way.

*The first few pics are taken with my iPhone 4.
I was only able to bring my Canon at night. :(

Still managed to capture some gorgeous shots!
A very easy task when in DisneyWorld :)

Once you arrive at Magic Kingdom, you walk into Main Street, USA. Which is my favorite sector by the way. A slight replica of Midwestern America, using all kinds of nationwide stylistic influences in design and architecture. A strip of Disney dazzled shops and restaurants, all leading to the magnificent (almost surreal) Cinderella's Castle.

The castle is such a wonderful, unrealistic view!

checked out TomorrowLand... A futuristic town.

Its so much fun walking from a Midwestern American town to a year 2095 Metropolitan!

High off the HAPPIEST place on earth!

And yes I have my pimped out Minnie Mouse ears on!

The world famous "Partners" statue and castle view.

I took a close look at the statue of Mr.Walt and noticed a strange symbl on his tie...

Being the curious cat that I am, I researched the meaning behind this symbol. Turns out the symbol is composed of the letters STR. The STR symbol on Walt's tie refers to Smoke Tree Ranch, a place in Palm Springs, California, where he had a vaction home.

Click on the pic for a larger view of the symbol :)

Took a stroll to Adventureland a climbed upon the Swiss Robinson Treehouse

Created two years after the movie release, the Swiss Robinson Treehouse is  a 60 foot high, super realistic walkthrough attraction, bringing the movie to life. Walking up along the treehouse, you take in and appreciate the incredible effort Disney puts into their visuals. From tiny details in props such as books and ropes, to the actual 60 foot tree itself. It's truly fascinating!!!!

Twilight falls in on the magical kingdom <3

The lovely shops alone Main Street.
From watch stores to barber shops to ice cream shops to jewelry shops, and of course souvenir shops!
At which yours truly had a mega-splurg in!

Check out this BEAUTIFUL Swarovski Crystal piece <3

With the tiny pieces valued at $100+, you can only imagine what the big ones are worth!

Spooky invisible horse at the entrance of the very scary Haunted Mansion ride!

Restaurants along the Disney canals <3

Strolling along FantasyLand, I came across the Snow White's Scary Adventures ride.
A ride for kids, but I still hopped on :)

Alice having a tea party!!!!!!!!!! <3 My favorite <3

Found this great Nascar inspired ride at Tomorrowland!

The castle is a pure majesty at night <3

As nighttime sets in, everyone grabs a seat all along Main Street to watch the gorgeous Electrical Parade! Even though I had a great view from where I was sitting, I captured it with my iPhone. :(.

The parade brings your favorite Disney Characters to life via a glow in the dark parade filled with synchronized lights, music, performers, and huge illuminated floats! The floats goes all along the beginning of Main Street and strolls towards Cinderella's Castle.

There goes Tinkerbell!

Adorable Goofy as a handsome train conducter ;)

My faves!! Alice chillin on a mushroom with the witty Cheshire cat!

And now, as the parade comes to a finish, Disneys guests prepare themselves for what is about to be two of the most incredible spectacles they will ever see in their life...

"The Magic, the Memories and You"

and

"Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams"

The Magic, the Memories, and You, is one of, if not THE most incredible visual phenomenons I have ever witnessed. This spectacle brings Cinderella's Castle to life, through animated projection, using the actual castle as a screen. Losing yourself in the show, you're overcome with disbelief, as the castle doesn't seem real anymore. Pictures do it no justice. Nor does this video I shot. But here's a clip of the last 5 minutes of the show, anyway. I suggest you watch as much as you can, it is SO worth it!

A snapshot of the gorgeous T.M.M.Y finale.

BREATHTAKING!

The castle takes a breather, and prepares itself for the closing event:

"Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams"

Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dreams is an incredible fireworks extravaganza. Narrated by Jiminy Cricket and the Blue Fairy. The show embraces the different wishes casted by your favorite Disney characters. And also Disney villains. Combining fireworks, special projection effects, a medley of memorable Disney songs along with  the voices of Disney characters making wishes. Characters such as Snow White, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Aladdin, Peter Pan and Ariel are featured, among others.

The show takes a mre sinister tone, as the Evil Queen from Snow White takes over the narration, and the  Disney villains begin expressing THEIR wishes. Cruela Deville, Jafar, Scar, Captain Hook, and Ursula are amongst the featured villains.

Luckily, there is a happy ending (as in all Disney showcases) where good triumphs over evil, and the Blue Fairy ends the show. Ending with the musical tune we are all familiar with "When You Wish Upon a Star".

All this, clearly and beautifully told through a gorgeous fireworks show.

Thank you guys!

GAME OVER!!!

As my magical week in Disney came to an end, looking out the window onto this lovely view... I couldn't help but be overcome by a sobering feeling of reality and sadness ;( And yet, so happy I had the wonderful opportunity to partake in what seemed to be a dream come true <3

My Disney Delirium has come to an end, but that doesn't mean yours should! I encourage ever human being to make it their goal to visit this place if not again, for the first time. It is truly an awakening in your inner child. That inner child that most of us barely embrace.

Hope you enjoyed my Disney Delirium and hope it plants a seed of inspiration to start you own Disney adventure <3
